The historic market town of Crieff, a centuries-old Scottish crossroads, developed as a holiday destination in Victorian times and remains a major tourism hub today. Almost every weekend in summer sees a classic car tour visit Crieff.
In May of 2013 the Austin Healey Club chose to base its 4th European Meeting in Crieff. The week-long event saw around 500 members in over 250 Austin Healeys converge on the town for a programme which included day driving tours in the Highlands, an outing to Edinburgh, Scotland's historic capital city, and a track day at the nearby Knockhill circuit. A major factor for the organisers in choosing Crieff over other potential venues was that its central location facilitated such a comprehensive programme.
